Up to now X-ray multilayer optics have been limited in their design and performance due to the difficulty to achieve, with traditional production technology, high precision graded multilayer coating on very smooth substrate with a very precise and accurate shape, in a cost effective manner.
Xenocs replication technology
To overcome this limitation Xenocs has been developing for many years a revolutionary technology based on the replication principle.
Replication is a fundamental process in the life cycle as observed in the production of DNA. Replication has been used by humanity since the Bronze Age for the production of artifacts, later on for molded metal pieces in the industry or more recently for the production of DVD's.
Xenocs' core replication technology enables the generation of multilayer coatings and its transfer onto free-form surfaces with a precision down to the nanometer scale and roughness of few angstrom RMS.
This highly integrated production process gives us the capability to supply unique X-ray optical components with very high collection angles, optimum reflectivity and spectral purity.
Xenocs' proprietary manufacturing methods allow us to routinely achieve very small spot-sizes or highly collimated beams of X-rays with a perfect optic-to-optic match.
Analytical tools and ray-tracing are extensively used for the design and prediction of performance of our optical components.
A large product range for advanced material analysis
With this technology, Xenocs produces a complete line of products for end-users, and also works with OEMs in order to supply on a large scale basis X-ray optics and complete beam delivery systems perfectly suited to their applications.
With this technology, Xenocs is opening a new era in the field of X-ray optics, enabling innovative design for advanced optical components
