01/10/2003 - The Scripps Research Institute boosts its screening capacities

The group of Professor Ian A. Wilson at The Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California, recently installed their third x-ray optics from Xenocs.

Keeping pace with the actual movement in biochemistry to ever smaller crystals and to growing screening capacities in the laboratory they decided to upgrade their three x-ray generators with FOX2D optics from Xenocs.

After having tested a first optics with high satisfaction on one of their Rigaku/MSCTM generators the group of Professor Wilson ordered two additional optics from Xenocs. Of course, there are a several ways to concentrate x‑rays and to bring high flux onto your sample. However, the TSRI researchers surly choose one of the most efficient ways by deciding for the confocal optics FOX2D CU 12_38P, one of Xenocs’ most successful products.
