ISIS neutron source chose the Nano-inXider from Xenocs

The Nano-inXider SAXS/WAXS system from Xenocs was installed at the beginning of the month at the ISIS neutron source situated at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory of the Science and Technology Facilities Council, Oxfordshire, UK.

The equipment will be used by hundreds of users coming to ISIS to characterize their samples, which covers a very broad range of science. The Small & Wide Angle X-ray Scattering equipment is very complementary to what the neutron beamlines offer. With the Nano-inXider, users can screen their samples and get valuable information at the nanoscale very quickly, before deciding whether to investigate their samples further with the neutron source.

About ISIS

ISIS is a world-leading centre for research in the physical and life sciences at the STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory near Oxford in the United Kingdom. Their suite of instruments gives unique insights into the properties of materials on the atomic scale.

ISIS supports a national and international community of more than 3000 scientists for research into subjects ranging from clean energy and the environment, pharmaceuticals and health care, through to nanotechnology and materials engineering, catalysis and polymers, and on to fundamental studies of materials.
