High Resolution XRD
High resolution x-ray diffraction (HRXRD) requires experimental setups that deliver narrow resolution elements in reciprocal space in two or even three dimensions. The three dimensions of resolution are given by the two-dimensional beam divergence and the monochromaticity of the beam.
High performance beam requirement
In order to achieve this type of measurement a monochromatic collimated beam is required. The simplest collimation method is achieved by using slits. Monochromaticity can be obtained by the use of multilayers or by using crystal monochromators.
FOX3D and GENIX3D: ideal solutions for high HRXRD
For this application Xenocs has developed a product range delivering a high intensity monochromatic collimated beam usable in compact diffractometers.
Xenocs HRXRD product range is versatile in order to adapt to the requirements of the specific set up. For example, the optic or beam delivery system may be used alone for an application requiring high flux, or in combination with a crystal optic for an application requiring high resolution.
