In addition to providing high quality X-ray optical components to both equipment manufacturers and end users, Xenocs ® participate in major research programs in different fields requiring multilayer coatings. The European Space Agency (ESA) and Xenocs SA have signed a contract for the development of high performance supermirror coatings for the XEUS x-ray telescope mission currently under study. Under the two year contract, Xenocs will partner with the Danish Space Research Institute (DSRI) to develop and demonstrate coatings that will allow XEUS to observe x-rays of much higher energy than current technology allows.
